CARAMOOR CENTER FOR MUSIC AND THE ARTS

Katonah, NY

Unfortunately, at the start of my time at Caramoor, my fondness for Twitter was almost nonexistent. So I decided not to record how many followers we had on Twitter when I arrived. I felt as though Twitter had lost it's original purpose, and I even wrote this blog post about it. However, my love for Twitter has grown over time, and I realized that there are strong communities nestled within all of the ads, and it has reclaimed its spot with the other social platforms.

All of Caramoor's social media content has been created by me since May 23, 2016.

Social Media Growth Over The Years

Although I sometimes agree that numbers do not always matter, and its the content that counts, I still put stress on the growth of followers. For most customers visiting a company's social media platform, they look straight at the number of followers they have in order to gain their validation. It's the classic herd mentality: where there are people, the rest will follow.

Instagram Stories

I only just started making Instagram Story Ads in May of 2019. After doing a lot of research, and seeing which ads are served to me on my personal Instagram, I came to the conclusion that the more natural the Instagram Story looks, the better. The user can get tricked when they see an ad that looks like as if their friend filmed it and put the Instagram Story text over it. That's what I attempted to do in these 3 examples.
